Saturday

9:23pm

My little plants got their rest last night, as they grow in the dark, and release oxygen at night. I had to throw away one that I think is poisonous, because I don’t want to take the chance that my Mr. Sully would eat it.

I slept in til 9:30am this morning, breaking my trend of 4am’s. Brian was already awake and the coffee was cold. I asked nicely, and he made me another pot.

I couldn’t sit long, my house is driving me crazy with all the dust. I started some….more…laundry, when it will end I am hoping tomorrow.

Brian and I tried to get online for a solid hour, with no success. Mama called, and we told her want a Maximum Access tower for Christmas, nothing else, just that. She laughed, said they had been talking about it, and looking into, but would talk and look some more. Hopefully, this Christmas I’ll have a tower in my backyard, and I don’t care how ugly or tacky that thing is, I’ll have good high speed internet here at home, which is something Verizon cannot, and will not provide.

I got the flower pots out of the car, brought them in, went to the sink, where I found water standing in both sinks. I reached down to drain them both, and found that there was nothing in them, they were stopped up. I got Brian to look at it, and we got a 5 gallon bucket and he started scooping out the water. I thought we were going to have to unscrew the bottom of the pipes, and I got so aggravated, Brian and I argued, I got fed up, and went back to bed…..until 2:30.

When I got up, the sinks were unclogged, as Brian called his Daddy, who gave him the advice to use the plunger in the drain. It worked, thank goodness…..cause our sinks are clean and clear now.

Mama called while I was asleep, asking us to let out her dogs this afternoon and tomorrow morning, for she was staying the night at the deer camp with Daddy, cooking chickens and steak, and watching the games.

I told her sure, we’ll do it! I wanted to get online for a while at her home, where there’s good internet. We left at about 3:15, and stayed there until about 5. Mama left us some money on the counter for feeding her dogs, so we bought Diet Coke and Miller Lite at Cannon’s, and headed home.

Both the Georgia and LSU games started at 6 tonight, and came on just as we got home. At first, the Georgia game was blacked out, and Brian’s spirits were crushed, so we finished the Alabama game. Brian didn’t give up, and checked the blacked out channel again. It was on and working, so we flipped from Georgia to LSU until now, watching both.

Georgia skunked Auburn. Brian was serious all throughout the game, even with 5 minutes left and a 38-0 score. He wanted to know why his good defense was still playing?

We were disappointed in the LSU fans tonight, as the stadium was almost empty, and the game was still going. Brian asked why? I couldn’t figure it either. Maybe it’s that we’re not on the road to a national title this year? But that can’t be it….unhappy with the coach? Possibly….I don’t know.

I decided to sweep and vacuum the floors and wash the curtains, in hopes of getting some of this dust out of here.

In the midst of it all, I decided it was time to clear out my bookcase. I felt led to remove all the bad books that I had not read, though had accumulated for the past 10 years. I had a collection of bullshit literary, Russian literature, history books, short stories, bad fiction…..a bunch of knowledge that I don’t need, or want, or welcome.

I thought about selling them, or giving them away, but I got to thinking about what all ideas are in those books, as I have started some of them, only to find that they are Godless, immoral, and corrupt in their thinking, and I quickly put them down, and never opened them again. Seeing as such, I decided not to contribute these ideas to the likes of others, and decided to just….throw them away, in the dumpster.

We loaded up the trunk of the car with all the bad books I pulled. I kept good fiction, Christian fiction, American history, dictionaries, fitness, and gardening books. Sure, I like to read smut novels every now and then, and I kept at least 2 of them I know. I can guarantee those smut novels don’t talk about God or false religious beliefs, or delve into the human soul with wicked ideas.

Today, to eat, I had 2 poptarts for breakfast (400), coffee (300) some chips (200), and a noodle thingy you put in the microwave (400)=1300. I didn’t walk, as Saturday is my normal day off, but I don’t think 1300 is a bad calorie count for the day….at all.
